Subhash Deshyogi is a Group ‘A’ officer working as Director in the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. He was born on 10.10.1981 in Karchhana village, Allahabad (now Prayagraj) district in the state of Uttar Pradesh. From his parents Mrs. Vijayalakshmi and late Mr. Basant Lal, he inherited the qualities of piety, hard work and peace-loving. From childhood, the boy Subhash had a keen interest in physics and had a habit of contemplating the profound questions of existence.
As you grew older, your curiosity also increased along with it. In the year 2012, he got a God given opportunity to read and understand Vivekananda literature, as a result his interest shifted from physics to yoga and he saw closely the co-relation between the basic principles of life and physics. He began researching the sacred texts of various religions and literature on spirituality. In 2016, he took a sabbatical for a year to join the postgraduate diploma course at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur, Howrah, West Bengal and to pursue his curiosity.
Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma
course at Belur was a turning point in his life. He came in direct contact with
many awakened souls like Swami Atmapriyanand Maharaj Ji, (Late) Swami
Hariharanand Maharaj Ji, Swami Vedarthanand Ji Maharaj, Swami Kleshanand Ji
Maharaj and Shri Abhijeet Biswas Sir. The concept of Desh Yoga came into
existence when (Late) Swami Hariharanand Maharaj Ji was conducting a study on
the life of Swami Vivekananda during one of his classes.
Another worthy person whose life and teachings laid the foundation for Desha Yoga is Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, mother of Subhash Desha Yogi. Prior to Subhash’s admission to the PG Diploma course in Belur, she was suffering from several lifestyle diseases. When he heard about the glory of sattvic diet described in the Bhagavad Gita, he immediately without any delay volunteered himself to test it and adopt our great Granths (scriptures). Within 3 months of starting Satvik diet, he got victory over all the diseases. All reports related to diseases have come negative. Thus, he practically exposed Subhash Deshayogi to the glory of the holy scriptures, making him eager to know more about the world of spirituality.
Since his return from Belur Math in July
2017, with the support of many like-minded and equally dedicated volunteers,
Subhash Deshayogi has been conducting yoga classes across India. He has
dedicated his life to promote the scientific aspect of our great holy
scriptures. Many like-minded individuals supported his idea and thus the Desh
Yog Charitable Trust came into existence. He works as a volunteer in Desh Yog
Charitable Trust. He considers (Late) Swami Hariharanand Maharaj Ji and his
mother Smt. Vijayalakshmi as the inspiration and torch bearers of the Desh Yoga
Charitable Trust.
